U.S. Highway 14 - From Philip East Eight Miles



Project Summary:

This project will replace three structures, two box culverts, and construct one new bridge.

Approach grading and pipe replacement will also be included on the project. 

Traffic is rerouted around the work area using the temporary diversions so crews can conduct structure and grading work. Traffic diversions will remain in place for the majority of the 2024 construction season. The first phase of work is expected to be completed on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, with work resuming in spring 2025.

Project Updates:

July 22, 2025: 

June 15, 2025 – July 15, 2025, Completed Work: The steel and concrete footings were placed. The forms were then stripped and the footings were backfilled.  

Forms were set for the inlet and outlet aprons and the box culvert floor. Forms are also being set for the wingwalls. 

Anticipated work July 15, 2025 – Aug. 15, 2025: The contractor will work to pour the inlet and outlet aprons, the box culvert floor, and the wingwalls. Wall forms and steel will then be placed in preparation of concrete. 

Traffic will remain on the diversion until the box culvert, surfacing, pavement markings, and signing at site two is completed. The anticipated finish date of site two is fall 2025.  

The traveling public should proceed through the diversion at a reduced speed. The surfacing on the diversion is gravel.
