Grade Raise on U.S. Highway 81 by Arlington to Begin

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will begin a permanent grade raise on U.S. Highway 81 south of Arlington through the Twin Lakes area. Highway 81 will close to through traffic on Monday, April 4, 2022, as work on the grade raise begins.

Deck Rehabilitation to Begin on Cambell Street Bridge in Rapid City

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says bridge deck improvements on the Cambell Street bridge, between Saint Patrick Street and the East Saint Joseph Street ramps, will begin on Monday, April 4, 2021. The work will primarily take place on the bridge deck surface with supporting work occurring underneath the bridge.

SDDOT in Search of Borrow Material Providers for S.D. Highway 10 Project Near Britton

In 2024, the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) plans to begin a construction project on S.D. Highway 10 from Britton to approximately ½ mile west of Houghton. The purpose of this project is to enhance the safety and function of the roadway through shoulder widening, replacing a bridge, repairing or replacing culverts, and adding left turn lanes at both S.D. Highway 37 intersections.
