SDDOT Announces Bridge Improvement Grant (BIG) Recipients

The South Dakota Transportation Commission awarded 44 Preliminary Engineering Bridge Improvement Grants (BIG) totaling approximately $2.4 million at the Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, meeting in Pierre.
Intersection Closures at Madelyn and Meadow Avenues Scheduled for 41st Street DDI Construction Project in Sioux Falls

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says that starting Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, the intersections at 41st Street with Madelyn and Meadow Avenues will be closed for approximately five days as crews prepare and place concrete. Both intersections are scheduled to reopen at the end of the workday on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022.
Road Closure Scheduled for U.S. Highway 18 Project Between Pickstown and Lake Andes

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says work will begin on a bridge structure replacement and roadway reconstruction on U.S. Highway 18 near the Northpoint Recreation Area.
Intersection Closure Scheduled for Brown County Highway 12 and U.S. Highway 12 in Aberdeen

Traffic to be Reduced to One Lane in Both Directions on Pierre/Fort Pierre Bridge

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says that traffic over the John C. Waldron Memorial Bridge connecting Pierre and Fort Pierre, will be reduced to one lane in both directions for the next several months.
