Bridge Deck Replacement Scheduled to Begin Over I-90 on 459th Avenue Near Hartford

HARTFORD, S.D. – On Monday, June 9, 2025, crews will begin work on a bridge deck replacement over Interstate 90 on 459^th Avenue near Hartford. Traffic will be closed on 459^th Avenue from 260^th Street to 261^st Street. 

Lane closures will be installed on I-90 in both the eastbound and westbound directions. Signs will be placed near the work zone to alert motorists about the road work. Motorists are reminded to use caution and reduce their speed while workers and equipment are present.

The prime contractor on this $2.5 million project is General Excavating, LLC of Lincoln, NE. The overall project completion date is June 2026.
