SISSETON, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says work on Highway 10 in Sisseton will resume on Monday, April 6, depending on weather.
The first phase of work will take place from Veteran’s Avenue to First Avenue West and in the area of 8th Avenue West.
Two-way traffic will be placed in the eastbound lanes from First Avenue West to Veterans Avenue and in the westbound lanes in the area of the intersection with 8th Avenue West. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph with a 10-foot width restriction.
Remaining work includes constructing a roundabout, urban reconstruction, and city utility work.
Motorists are reminded to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, as well as construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
The prime contractor on the $7 million project is BX Civil & Construction of Dell Rapids. Work is expected to be completed by June 30.
