Highway 16A Surfacing Project in Keystone to Begin

KEYSTONE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says a milling and resurfacing project on Highway 16A in Keystone will be beginning Monday, March 23, 2020. 

The project includes milling the current surface and placing asphalt concrete surfacing on Highway 16A in Keystone, beginning at Swanzey Street and ending at Cemetery Road, along with sidewalk and ADA upgrades. 

Traffic will be reduced to 12-foot widths and both lanes will remain open with parking reduced in the areas of work. 

Access to all business will be available during the sidewalk/ADA upgrade work. 

The prime contractor on this $1.4 million project is Simon Contractors, Inc. of Rapid City.
