SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says the southbound deceleration lane on Interstate 229 at the 26th Street exit will be closed beginning Monday, July 20.
The southbound off ramp will remain open.
This lane closure is necessary to complete bridge girder painting on the structure going over I229 on 26th Street and should be reopened by Sunday, July 26.
Motorists should be aware of slowing traffic in the driving lane wanting to take the 26th Street exit.
D&G Concrete Construction, Inc. of Sioux Falls is the prime contractor on this project.
