U.S. Highway 14 - From Philip East Eight Miles



Project Summary:

This project will replace three structures, two box culverts, and construct one new bridge.

Approach grading and pipe replacement will also be included on the project. 

Traffic is rerouted around the work area using the temporary diversions so crews can conduct structure and grading work. Traffic diversions will remain in place for the majority of the 2024 construction season. The first phase of work is expected to be completed on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, with work resuming in spring 2025.

Project Updates:

Aug. 27, 2025: 

July 15, 2025 – Aug. 15, 2025, Completed Work:
The contractor placed concrete for the inlet and outlet aprons, the box culvert floor, the wingwalls, and half of the interior walls.

Anticipated Work Aug. 15 – Sept. 15, 2025:
Crews will continue placing steel and forms to complete the interior walls and will proceed with the forms and steel needed to place the top lid concrete of the box culvert. Once the concrete has gained sufficient strength, the contractor will begin backfilling the box culvert and preparing for the gravel base and final surfacing.

Traffic will remain on the diversion until the box culvert, surfacing, pavement markings, and signing at site two are complete. The anticipated completion date for site two is fall 2025.

The traveling public should use caution and reduce speed when driving through the gravel-surfaced diversion.
