2024 Sturgis Rally Vehicle Count – Through Day Three

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will provide daily traffic counts at nine locations for vehicles entering Sturgis for the 84th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally which runs from Aug. 2-11, 2024.

Chip Seal and Fog Seal Projects Scheduled for East Central South Dakota

Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, crews will begin chip seal and fog seal projects on portions of several highways in east central South Dakota.
Lane Closures Scheduled for S.D. Highway 42 Concrete Repair Project West of Sioux Falls
August 01, 2024
Beginning on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, lane closures are planned for S.D. Highway 42 from mile marker 358 (466th Avenue) to mile marker 361 (469th Avenue) west of Sioux Falls.
Two-Way Traffic Switching onto Newly Constructed Missouri River Bridge Between Fort Pierre and Pierre Communities

Beginning on Thursday, Aug. 1 2024, traffic will be shifting onto the new John C. Waldron Memorial Bridge between the Fort Pierre and Pierre communities.
Temporary Closure Planned for S.D. Highway 19 near Humboldt

On Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, S.D. Highway 19 will be temporarily closed underneath Interstate 90 near Humboldt (exit 379) to begin setting girders for the new bridge over Highway 19.
