Ward Rest Area on I-29 South of Brookings Temporarily Closing for Annual Cleaning

The Ward Rest Area on Interstate 29, located 12 miles south of Brookings, will be temporarily closing on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 7 a.m. for annual spring cleaning.
SDDOT Seeks Public Input for Proposed S.D. Highway 19 Reconstruction Project Near Humboldt

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold a public meeting open house on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. to inform area residents of the proposed S.D. Highway 19 reconstruction project from the east S.D. Highway 42 junction to the west S.D. Highway 38 Junction near Humboldt.
Overnight Construction Scheduled for U.S. Highway 385 Near Sheridan Lake
May 02, 2025
On Monday, May 5, 2025, construction is scheduled on U.S. Highway 385 near the intersection of Sheridan Lake Road to the north. Overnight activities will occur from the south end of Pactola Dam to Calumet Road. Construction crews will be working overnights each week from Monday at 6 a.m. to Saturday at 5 p.m. This schedule will continue through Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

SDDOT Seeks Public Input for 10th and 11th Streets Viaduct Replacement Study in Sioux Falls

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in conjunction with the City of Sioux Falls and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), will hold a public meeting open house to discuss the 10th and 11th Streets Viaduct Replacement Study. The public meeting is scheduled from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Holiday Inn City Centre, located at 100 E. 8th St. in Sioux Falls.
